I've spent pretty much all day working on this and I must say I'm rather chuffed with the outcome.This is Violetta from my favourite Opera, Verdi's La Traviata. The title comes from the song "Libiamo ne' lieti calici" - the drinking song.
I was lucky enough to see this in Salzburg a few years back and it was AMAZING!
The version I saw was done in a very modern style but most performances of this Opera seem to be set in roughly the time the Opera was first performed, which was in 1853. So that is the style of clothing I went for in this.

Wow, that's a mahoosive dress! There must be one hell of a crinoline under there. I love the design of her bodice, it makes it look like a cross between an old style of dress and something more modern. Very cool.

Fear not, I posted a reply to your last letter yesterday, so you should have it by tomorrow. Since I mooch off to Cheltenham on Sunday you'll probably have to send it to me at university, nyerk! But once again, fear not as I have cunningly placed my new address in the letter.
I'm all excited about this letter now! I'm dying to know what all this stuff is that you have to write about so urgently. The suspense is unbearable!
