This is part of a series that I'm working on based on the gorgeous pink dresses from the Disney series. From Ariel's pink 80s monstrosity to Giselle's slinky sexy number.This sketch was a complete mess when I scanned it in (I'm really messy when I sketch) and it took ages to clean it up until it was workable. Here is Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty in her pink dress. It actually really annoys me that most Sleeping Beauty merchandise has her in pink when she wears blue for most of the film. I'm putting the lineart in my scraps in case anyone fancies doing a blue version.
I'm over half way through now!

At least I'm not the only person in the world that thinks she should be depicted wearing her blue dress. I know it was originally supposed to be pink, but she did wear the blue one most of the movie.

I can totally agreed about the dress. Blue works better with Aurora than pink. I can't remember if they used pink or blue for when she was on Kingdom Hearts 1 but blue works better.

I assume you know the reason it's pink. Her best book actually keeps the blue, though. I know one of Ariel's sisters wore pink, Rapunzel is schedule to, Webbigail wears pinkJasmine had a pink outfit the third movie, Mulan's was mostly pink, and melody wore pink.
That's all I can think of without scouring archives.

I haven't seen any of the sequels so I don't really know about them. I have heard of the Rapunzel film that's coming out in 2010 although I haven't seen any art or anything for it. I guess when I do finally see it, I could definitely come back to this series and add some. Thank you for your nice comment!

The only sequel I recommends in Cinderella's. You can ask around for some screenshots or find pics online. I do recommend Ducktales.

Better pink than the horror that is the Disneyland Aurora outfit... it's purple vomit. OH GOD.
Not that you need any more work to do, but I think Eilowny (from the black cauldron) also wore a pink dress. I'm racking my brain for any others, and... actually, Mulan's chinese dress is pink- but she isn't a princess. Ah well.

I wasn't certain if Mulan's dress was pink enough to include in this series. I might do one for her if I'm in the mood.

Oh, I'm happy! It's funny... I like Aurora in blue better (actually, to be honest, I like her in GREEN. The green and black peasant dress at the beggining is my absolute fav), but I really love your shading. Eh, I just really love this image.
I think you're right about Mulan... I just looked up a reference for her.

The Black Cauldron is sort of the ugly child in Disney movies. I'm not too surprised you haven't seen it. Eilowny is pretty awesome though.
