You should note they only own half of NORAD, the other half (many of the radar sites) are Canadian. Nice list you put together, though their GI could be better trained (not on par with Canada's) they have a good special forces division. S.E.A.L's, Rangers, Delta Force, Marines, Airborne, which make up for that.

As with all modern special forces groups, ours were trained by the SAS
That includes the SEALs, Rangers, MARSOC, ODA, and Delta.
To be clear when I say the SAS trained us I'm talking about in terms of tactics and military experience. Which includes close quarters combat, close quarters battle tactics, covert raids on enemy positions, and jungle survival.
Most of the time the enemy isn't the worst nuisance but the mosquitoes.

Actually blame the death of the Progressive movement after the Prohibition quagmire and the destruction of the New Deal Coalition.
