There really should be a sort of distinction between Into the Spiderverse Gwen and the Comic version of her. Well aside from the ballet shoes and haircut of course.

I'm probably on their blacklist anyway, as I usually moan about this kind of things (feet/ankles + usually too "sexy" body postures for the depictions of female characters).
I mean, I'm a simple man, I see a sexy female character design / digital art, I'll like it, but then you get to details like those and it turns from "ah mah Gahd that's fucking amazing!" to "erm... hold on... why the bias? why the male character looks OK, pose & ankles? why does she seem to wear latex/body paint and not textile-based, just like him? why does the suit seem glued to her chest and not as much to his chest? if we're so dead set on anatomical details, how come her chest is bursting, but he seems to have no penis at all? or why does he have it tucked between is buttcheeks??". All these tiny wrinkles start itching.
I get it - it's style, it's the artist's choice. Sure. But then we're complaining that we keep sexualizing women and treating them like objects (with latex-tight outfits and skimpy "armor plate", for example). This only reinforces that bias, instead of fighting it.
I'm a man, so I can't call myself a feminist or being much of one, but inconsistencies like these (anatomical and political, if you want to call it that way)... they grind my gears, man, they grind them badly.
