Oh--Yes! Shrinking Violet of the Legion of Superheroes! She had become the host for the Emerald Eye--it transferred to her Colossal Boy's ability to become a giant! Man--that was over ten years ago--two different continuities of the Legion have come and gone since then! (shake my head). Loved this version though, was my favorite comic at the time!

Ah, yes. I should have read through the responses first. Colossal Boy was going by the name of Leviathan in this version of the Legion. When he was killed, a sentient magic artifact called the Emerald Eye (or Eye of Ekron?) transferred his power to her. She gained the ability to grow to vast size, as well as her original ability to shrink to microscopic, or even subatomic size!

This is Shrinking Violet from the Legion of Superheroes (DC Comics) she gained growing powers when fellow legion member Levaithan died. Go research the Legion Of Superheroes for more of a description on her and the others.

She can actually shrink to microscopic size as well as grow. Unfortunately the series was rebooted and she lost her growth powers. Shame.

It is. It's her when she had the growing powers and went by le-Vi-athan (or "Vi" for short). Wish DC kept her with those powers instead of returning her to the shrinking.
