Description PART 2: [link]

I've promised myself that I'll start making a new comic as soon as I complete Mass Effect 3, but I had totally different plans!
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game pretty much, even if it looks like Mass Effect 2 with some downgrades. That ending... Damn, I can't remember when I was disappointed so much last time. So... I put my disappointment into this. I wish someone could warn me like that
The main theme is, of course, Mass Effect, and I think it's easy to see some Metal Gear stuff. Also there are references to Metalocalypse (gosh, I hope I made it recognizable enough) and Red Alert 3. Can you find them?

I love the Mass Effect games, and while I've heard that most folks are pissed about the ending of the third game. I've also heard that Bioware is about to release DLC that should be the 'official' ending for the game soon. Here's to hoping right? And the fact that the ponies of Equestira have this game and its sequels as well is just downright hilarious!

Yeah, I heard about that dlc too. The only problem is, if I understand it correctly, that it won't change the ending, but will explain it. Like why Normandy was in hyperjump while Shep was fighting on the cidatel. Or maybe they're gonna explain which colors you need to mix to get the endings

I like Mass Effect games very much, but I was so disappointed in the ending... And I have a feeling that this dlc will only give me ideas for another rage comic like that one.

I heard about indoctrination theory, but honestly I don't care. That's just a theory, after all. I'll just wait for the Bioware's dlc to come out. Wonder how they will explain this mess.

While i'm not sure about anything to do with ponies. I was basically the same, although i knew multiplayer was the only way to raise readiness(totally lame, should be entirely optional). I did however explode emotionally.

NeodaBIG In reply to Haupmann [2012-03-30 13:30:40 +0000 UTC]

You, me and almost every ME3 player had that feeling, I guess.
Yeah, I didn't know about multiplayer stuff, so it was some kind of shock for me when I found that info. And anyway the whole conception of the ending is so wrong.

Haupmann In reply to NeodaBIG [2012-03-30 14:30:09 +0000 UTC]

Yup, all we can do now is keep expressing our displeasure and wait for what they announce next month.
The ending just felt lazy to me, and riddled with more holes than swiss cheese.

NeodaBIG In reply to Haupmann [2012-03-30 14:49:46 +0000 UTC]

Probably they're planning to fill these holes for 4.99 each or something, meh.

Then it would cost like $80, there are a helluva lot.

everyone seems to forget that bioware is now at the beck and call of EA, and that EA gave them a much shorter amount of time then they most likely wanted to finish the game. then theres the fact the pr for bioware is also controlled by EA. and a lot of other stuff is too. i wont blame bioware, because theyve made some wonderful games in the past, and even this game was good until the ending. so I'll blame the greedy moneygrubbers that we know as EA.

psilorder86 In reply to BloodyFatalis [2012-03-28 23:53:23 +0000 UTC]

Actually, didn't EA buy Bioware before the release of Mass Effect 1? (probably after most if not all development but before release)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BloodyFatalis In reply to psilorder86 [2012-03-29 13:21:22 +0000 UTC]

thats true, and the restraints they set can be seen in almost all biowares games since then. for mass effect 2, they released quite a bit of dlc; most likely because they couldnt fit all the content they wanted into the main game before release.
dragon age 2 was released BEFORE IT WAS FINISHED. the specific reason why they requested more time on mass effect 3. but they probably still didnt put everything they wanted to in mass effect 3, and the ending would most likely be more detailed if not for the time frame.

psilorder86 In reply to BloodyFatalis [2012-03-31 10:26:31 +0000 UTC]

yeah, it's quite possible that it is all EAs fault. I'm wondering tho if there is other factors to it.

I never bought any DLC for either of the previous ME's and they both felt satifying (neither did i have any problem with DA2).
and about DLCs, maybe it's the other way around? the DLCs were stuff not really planned as part of the story that were tacked on?

Infact i'm wondering how they would have made the ending if they hadn't said that Shepards saga would end in 3.
If they hadn't it would sort of be a matter of "yeah? and how are you gonna get them out of this one?"

Tho i guess that doesn't get around the problem of how effective military strength enables the green option.

id think at the very least arrival was supposed to be in me2 initially, since i can see it being there as a post game mission, and it ties to the beginning of me3. honestly i have no idea whats going on, but i've seen bioware make plenty of wonderful games, so im going to trust them on this one.

NeodaBIG In reply to BloodyFatalis [2012-03-27 21:08:46 +0000 UTC]

I agree about good old games from Bioware, and yeah, EA's greed is well-known. But I doubt that EA is the one responsible for endings. I enjoyed the game, even if there is so little difference from ME2 (maybe that's because of short development period and that's where I can blame EA). But they really should have thought of another way to end this story. So Bioware is the one to blame, in my opinion.

H123G In reply to ??? [2012-03-25 04:45:50 +0000 UTC]

Really? To get the best ending you have to play the multilayer?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NeodaBIG In reply to H123G [2012-03-25 09:53:39 +0000 UTC]

If you don't play the multiplayer, your readiness rating will be 50%, so you'll get only half of the points from war assets. Theoretically it's possible to get enough points to get the best ending, but it means you'll need to complete all sidequests and find all the hidden stuff on planets. And anyway I'd say there is no good ending.

Yeah, as far as I know, all multiplayer games need a gold account in order to be able to PLAY multiplayer on said games....hopefully they'll maybe push out some dlc soon that will raise it WITHOUT having to do multiplayer
