I know.. When I first started watching Pokémon, ( which was recently) I got mad to say the least. When I showed my older sister ( who grew up watching it) she didn't understand way they called them "jelly donuts" and not rice balls.. I hate 4Kids lol😮😳

To this day, I feel awful for trying to defend some of the changes 4kids made to my sisters. I blame cultural ignorance of the fact that I was probably ten when we had those arguments, but still I'm not proud of those actions.

Donuts have holes. Those are rice cakes. The dub called them donuts because the execs assumed American kids unfamiliar with Japanese culture wouldn't know what rice cakes even were.
