When I watched the movie, I had a strong urge to punch Naruto in the face. Hinata really didn't deserve to deal with that kind of idiocy.
But I'm glad it worked out for them in the end.

That was the thing about the manga, though, the whole thing with NaruHina had so little build up. Which I know is one of those silly criticisms people make about Korrasami, but the difference is that Korra and Asami had a lot of interaction which did establish that they at least had some form of close relationship and even thought about each other when they were away. For NaruHina, you could tell Kishi was telegraphing them as endgame clear as day, but after the Chunin arc it's like, "So when are they ever going to talk to each other again?" And, by the time I got tired of the series during the Great Ninja War, they still hadn't had an actual conversation and it certainly seemed as if Naruto hadn't thought of her at all until her random premortem confession. Anyway, Kishi sucks at romance, so I'm glad the anime was good for something.

Yeah, that's why I appreciated the film a lot. It actually contributed something to the story that the manga never did.

Another thing is the writers of Korra admitted that when they wanted to go with Korrasami they made sure the first thing they did was breaking up Mako and Korra and ending the love triangle on that side. Because what Naruto never really did is feel like had that moment of Naruto not liking Sakura as a girlfriend and wanting to be with her. Heck they even made points about that during the great Ninja war even AFTER that whole thing with Neji's death and Naruto and Hinata holding hands. Honestly IMHO that's when Hinata should of been elevated to a major character who was with Naruto throughout the war supporting him and showing how the two clicked but... no she got shoved to the sideline so many times just because Kishimoto wanted to use the original team seven. Oh also another thing in Korra's favor was the fact the writers actually respected and treated their female characters well and gave them roles just beyond emotional support. Compared to Naruto where I never really felt we got that with anyone outside a few outliers like Tsunade. Certainly not with either Sakura or Hinata and even then the romance just felt so forced so yeah plus to the movie for actually using it and not being embarassed by it.

I thought the movie was pretty good as far as naruto movies go, though I was...annoyed by certain things. I think this one is my favorite behind Road to Ninja.

To be fair DBZ wrath of the gods was trying to be entertaining and reintroduce these characters and actually tell more of a story which honestly felt way more earned. But don't you worry if you want more action: the next DBZ movie, DBZ Movie F supposedly has a lot more action with a lot more of the characters so yeah for that.

Yeaah that indeed. Seriously why do you think I call myself DianaGohan?

.... I call myself DianaGohan because I am a huge fan of Gohan from DBZ and want to see him actually have some good action scenes in this upcoming movie and not just be relegated to support like he usually is.

I will watch it for the NAruhina subplot.

It's not even really a subplot. It's more like the main focus, even though it's not the driving conflict of the story.

Huh, I didn't like it much myself. Seemed too rushed and contrived.

Yeah, it was definitely those things. But I have a strong emotional attachment to the series, so as a close to the show, and for the fact that I feel like it was an improvement over the other films, I gave it a pass.

Understandable. Random change of conversation though - do you think you might ever draw some stuff with Drake and Elena from Uncharted? I feel that with your humor, those exchanges would be amazing.

I can't say for sure, but there's a good chance I'll draw something about Uncharted when the next game comes out.
