That episode did not do him justice. I know he's far past his prime, but he was still the most powerful firebender of his time, possibly the strongest since Wan (maybe except for Iroh)

While I agree Zuko should’ve been portrayed as more powerful, I believe there’s are many more powerful firebenders. For instance, if Iroh is mor powerful, Ozai is in the same league (Iroh was unsure whether or not he could beat his brother), and he admitted he could not have beaten Azula alone, until he saw Shem went insane.
Now, perhaps he was more powerful than them, or comparable to the most as he got older, I’d be disappointed if he hadn’t surpassed a 14 year old Azula by the time he was 20. I know she’s a prodigy, but Zuko’s been through a lot. In time, I’m sure he got a lot more powerful, but we do not have any evidence for exactly how much more powerful.

Well, technically, Desna looks a lot like his sister and a girl, and I would be surprised if Iroh thought Desna was a guy. Even Bolin thought that Desna was a girl. "Woah! who are those ladies?"

In his defence, Fire Bending is kind of boring in terms of what you can do with it.

That would look cool, especially with some dynamic lighting. Fire Bending does always look amazing, I meant it doesn't have much utility since in the end it's just all fire blasts, except for the Fire Sai's.

Iroh seemt pretty f%$*ing good in Book 2 and 3 of ATLA, even if he was in his 50s/60s, so why couldn't Zuko be at least somewhat badass? OR maybe Iroh was extremely-ultra-mega-badass in his youth, so Azula and Toph indirectly somehow have to have been born to steal some of Iroh's badassery.

Yeah...like Toph, he has undergone regression to the point before he became part of the Gaang. Only where with Toph the regression was in terms of personality, Zuko's gone back to grunting as he Firebends (which, by the way, he stopped doing about the time he learned the Dancing Dragon).
But it's nice to see Iroh again. Lovely as usual, Neodusk.

HAHAHAHA Oh God, this was so perfect and yes, I felt the same way when Zuko got wrecked like he was no one, btw I just saw your comic of Toph with Korra as Zuko, it would be SOO GREAT that Toph finally gets her Zuko life changin trip by the end of this season so that she would go back with her family and friends instead of staying in the swamp.
