This is a new series, The Legend of Korra which is a spin-off of Avatar the Last Airbender. It's in it last season right now.
Prince/Firelord Zuko is still alive today but his daughter is currently the Firelord so he's kind of like a diplomat or something for the Fire Nation, I think? Or something.. He still goes to world leader meetings along with his daughter so he still has an important role
