Here's the second drawing for this month's first art challenge and here is the turtle's mentor/father figure himself, Splinter.

Depending on some versions of the franchise, he's either a mutated rat or a human being who ended mutating into a rat. But for this challenge, he' was a normal rat who ended up taking a humanoid form after being doused by mutagen, but prior to his transformation, was once the pet of Hamato Yoshi and Tang Shen, living peacefully with the kindhearted couple until they met a tragic end at Shredder's hands. Unwilling to see the same thing happened to his new family, he trains his sons with the best of his ability and prepared them for their inevitable encounter with the leader of the Foot Clan.
