Description WINNER OF THE THIRD PLACE / DARKSIDERS & DEVIANTART CONTEST-

Ok deviants, i have been totally devoted for about two weeks now for this thing and finally i have managed to finish it. ( just about time! hehehe ) it is my entry for the awesome and exciting Darksiders contest.

What is it about ? well, iΒ΄ve always had weird and creepy nightmares about the end of the world and i thought to develop something about those lines. what if you would wake up from a terrible nightmare to sudently discover that the end of the world has already began?
At first i thought of doing the usual destruction caused by meteors or nuclear nukes outside the window, but then i came up with the idea that adding the actual monsters and demons from the Darksiders game could be pretty cool.
So thats basically the main concept for my illustration of the end of days. A day were i wake up and find myself in the middle of the Apocalypse, sorrounded by chaos and horrible monsters.

I know right? it should totally be the other way around. i should have done more chaos and destruction outside the window but the monsters took a lot of space
in the composition.

Thanks! Sure, i wanted it to have some contrast betwen humor and creepyness and not just dramatically or scary driven. And i think it worked somehow at the end, hehehe.

Yes i have them, but iΒ΄m afraid i couldnt give you the complete drawing lines yet, because its a mixture of separated elements that i later arranged to create a single apocalypse piece. For example, all the elements in the background were colored first and then added into the window when the rest of the drawing was done.
So,that would be the problem with the line drawing. Please excuse me, and as soon as i have the line drawing i will let you know so you can feature it in yout group.

Sure, take your time. I just love the drawing and thing that the lines must have been equally awesome. Also, don't worry too much, the group isn't too finicky or inpatient!

I have just set up a "Weekly deviousness" box that features one piece and artist a week ... maybe when you get the lines all done up and stuff you can let me know and I can feature you!?

Your "Red Dawn" piece was pretty impressive, with the massive tentacles and the giant waves. I would like to know a little bit of the creation and context behind that illustration. its a shame it didnt make it.

Thanks The concept behind it was that after everything on the land is destroyed and burning, the oceans will drain and will swallow and take everything down with them with the help of the tentacles (giant kraken possibly?)

woooaaa, that piece its just phenomenal. every single part of it exudes dedication and love. i admire that much of effort in detail, textures and color. i totally dig your feeling about nature and stuff, we should have been taught more about caring for nature and having respect for it when we were kids.
