They Don't steal each others names.... they made them originally in different concepts. Even though a Cameron movie and a Cartoony one.
dont pout about it. everybody wins, you must see both movies like Avatar, and the upcoming The Last Airbender.

when i first saw the title of that movie i'm just like yaay TLA it's gonna be awesome so i decided to watch the trailer and then i'm just like uhh wuts with the blue people creature things XD

lulz! i was like that when we were talking about avatar. i was talking about the air bending avatar an then my friend was talking about the blue avatar peoples lulz then we got confused. i never heard of the blue avatar movie until 2 days after it came out, my friend never heard that they were making a movie of the last air bender until 3 days it opened in theaters lol

So...we have James Cameron's Avatar, about a crippled marine who fights to save a civilization by using a genetically engineered body...
Versus M. Night Shamalyan's Avatar, about a boy who's trapped in an anachronistic village and controls the elements by seeing dead people. He has to team up with a water nymph to thwart an alien plot to make all the humans in the world commit suicide.

THIS is why I DISPISE that Avatar movie's name. THe one with the navi', the blue thingys! The cartoon of Avatar name was before the movie with the blue creatures from my by so god knowlege!

I laughed at this, because I was one of those people who, when I first saw the advert for Avatar, thought they were talking about the Last Airbender, but then I saw a bunch of blue people with tails, and dissapointedly realised that they weren't talking about TLA at all. But I saw it anyway, and it was a great movie. I'm still waiting for the ATLA movie to come out.

Lol! I love this!! XD When this movie first came out, I was so mad because I thought they were copying the name of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and so when that movie came out, everyone would think that they copied Avatar when in reality, Airbender was first. But it wasn't like that though. Lol!

You know what really sucks for Avatar cartoon show fans is that their movie based on the show had to be changed to "The Last Airbender" because the Film Association dictates that movies can't have the same title (unless they're remakes). The reason they haven't made a movie based on GTA is because there's a film from the 70s already titled "Grand Theft Auto."
Though I liked Avatar.
