They Don't steal each others names.... they made them originally in different concepts. Even though a Cameron movie and a Cartoony one.
dont pout about it. everybody wins, you must see both movies like Avatar, and the upcoming The Last Airbender.

No their names were Sokka and Aang, the pronunciations differed. Also no one is gonna fight you if you didn't like The Last Airbender so don't ever worry about that.

The real def. of the word "avatar" means basically a representation of a person or like a character controlled by a person, not someone who shoots fire and water out of their hands.
So James Cameron got it right.

Saw the last Air bender realistic. It kinda sucked... the other was pretty good considering it was more original. I hope they don't screw up Naruto! If they do I'm gonna... you don't to know! I love this! I always shunned the Avatar which is from the Pandora thing up until I watched it in school. >.> I liked it... But I wondered what Ang would feel like in the Pandora Avatar... LOL

i love avatar the last airbender! its probably the best show to ever have come to nickelodeon. i went with my family to watch Avatar (Pandora-blue-people) and it thought it was amazing. the artists for that movie must have been on something GOOD because the movie was absolutely beautiful. and all the colors... gosh i cried several times... "The last airbender" however left me slightly... disappointed. i love it, because the effects were blow-your-brain-inside-out-amazing
