His general personality is modeled after Final Fantasy IX's Zidane Tribal; a lovable rogue-ish type who constantly travels the world getting into adventures and mastering sword training. He's altruistic enough to help people in need whenever he stumbles upon them and sometimes travels with them to make sure they reach their goal, but never builds any attachment to the people he meets. It seems he's always running from something. He's also pretty damn smug, prideful, perverted, and wily. Counters Marine's sheltered upbringing as a result.

i hope you don't mind me asking, are you going to post this comic on deviantart? it looks really good and with a lot of really interesting characters and i'd really like to be able to read it (although nobody probably cares about that last part...)and i'm pretty sure it's going to be a great story if your discovery comic is anything to go by... so... pretty please? (gives you the kicked puppy eyes)

Looking at his primary design in the jacket, I can see now how it compliments Marine's look. I know that's probably not the point, but I like it!

Yes. It's nothing but a wave of blue. Honestly, a lot of his design schemes from when I first drew him ten years ago have largely stayed the same. If not, chances are, I might not have given him so much blue to have him sort of stand out from Marine. But I think yeah, it does compliment him more.
