Species: Golden CreatorMedium: Acrylic Paint on White Canvas board
Commentary: This is the first of a 12 piece series that I am in the process of completing. I am painting an original for each influential teacher that I have had throughout my years of education. 4 of those pieces are going to my best friends that have been there for me throughout the years.
Anyway, this piece is of an Oriental Dragon, the "Golden Creator" who I depicted creating the world as we know it and the beauty of it all. The ground beneath him is suppose to look like a liquid reflecting and rippling...I don't know if it actually looks like it to you guys, but staring at it for a couple days had me convinced. The moon is large because...well...because it's cool! Oh...and I'm sorry...he is actually my version of an oriental dragon. He has no whiskers or a mustache...or arm pit hair. He has more visible teeth because of this. His 5th toe on each foot is minuscule, so you can't see it.
