Description Title's from the name of a CD by the Goo Goo Dolls, a good old 90s band. I like the song Iris.

~Darktaru 's free sketch request, which I still have 9 more to give away here .
Yes, this is how I sketch. I'm not one for messes, my art teacher said so.
She's got a very skanky, yet elaborate costume. It makes me giggle.

I used a pencil and I took about an hour and a half. 8)

Oh, there are circles and lines there, I just do them light and heavily darken my final lines. Plus, I do use an eraser on some parts, that helps
Thanks

so did you ever take drawing classes, or did you just get better with practice?
oh and your very welcome

I take art class, but that's not really teaching that just throwing project criteria sheets at you, so no real drawing classes.
Honestly, I was shitty until about 8th grade when I got an artbook for Christmas which seriously got me from crap to pretty good (i'd say good or great, but it still wasn't really) literally overnight. I could scrounge up some of my old stuff and show you if you want. I want to do one of those progress thingies but i'm actually extremely embarassed of my old stuff. I'm that serious it was that bad. I mean chibis with huge heads, huge eyes and triangular mouths; it wasn't pretty and I keep it in a folder that never sees the light of day. I showed it to one person to make her feel better about her shitty skills and she laughed and so in my closet it will stay.
Anyway, after that, I suppose I just practiced a lot. DA has also helped me a lot by exposing me to different styles and I have picked up quite a bit from it. I've also been pretty observant too, and that helps a lot.

Ooo well you certainly came along way
and i grew up drawing and making arts and crafts stuff, mostly thanks to my mom. She would always find cool little things to do like make and easter basket out of balloons and newspaper
I also found a couple of things that i made when i was a kid too
it wasnt until i was in 7th grade that i took and after school art class and i dont mean to sound cocky but i was amazed with myself. I remember one time we even made shirts and everyone though that mine was store bought
I did alot of cool things in that class but im not sure where any of it is >.<
ill have to dissect my closet to see if anything is in there
so yeah i sould love to see your starting work ill try to find my old stuff too!
Ooo i just remember that i had a sketch book with a bunch of dragon ball Z characters
looks like i have something to do in my free time now
yay!

I guess, but the art booked helped loads.
I did arts and crafts through Girl Guides. My mom still has a lot of it even though I told she could chuck it.
That's cool. When I was young, I was just satisfied that people wanted my stuff instead of their own.
And as soon as I scan some of my old stuff, I'll show you

moms tend to keep everything from when we were kids
which is cool because when they bring it out you get a bunch of flashbacks
Im still trying to find that giant box full of our old stuff
which surprises me that i cant find it
oh wells
and yay o get to see your old stuff

I'm gonna have to give them a listen sometime. Speaking of Dizzy, I'm trying to find an "Alternate" Heavy Metal Theme for her for my GGXX Custom Tracks Game. So far I've only used "Soul Survivor" by Helloween.

Here's a few others I've used:

Sol: Cochise by Audioslave
Ky: Lord of the Thunder by Rhapsody
Anji: Livewire by Motley Crue

I'm basically trying to get songs that "sound" like GG songs. Heh.

Um, yeah I can't help you, sorry. This was a fanart request from one of my watchers, I don't actually know the game. Sorry.

Would you be interested in knowing? I mean, it is a good game and all.

Well, I'm not too huge of a gamer... at least, those types of games. My most hardcore game would probably be Guild Wars or KH and I gave up on those because I got frustrated and amusingly hostile. XD

Personally I use fighting games as a vent for my frustrations, as even if you don't win a round, you can always beat the snot out of a character next round.

Me too. My friends laugh at me when I just randomly say "I feel like killing something" and i'll go off and play violent video games. But the games I play don't really work in "rounds" so it gets frustrating when you die and lose your progress.
