Are you aware of the Calarts style?

Yes, but I think it's a really stupid thing to complain about, especially since most TV shows drawn in that "style" are created by people who never went to Calarts to begin with. Honestly, I've been drawing in this style long before the "Calarts Style" became a thing. :/

Smaller head, thicker limbs, a small but noticeable pot belly, and forearm hair. A redesign that appears to avert Comic-Book Time by giving Ken subtle signs of aging, something I respect since it adds realism and definitely highlights how much Ken evolved over the past decade.
Gonna be honest though, the updated design is a tad uncanny since Ken's semi-realistic proportions kinda clash with his otherwise simplistic features. Either that, or I'm just too use to the original designs
Now that Ken and Annabelle have been updated, I'm curious to see what you plan for Dia, Danny, Fionna. Especially since you haven't drawn any of them in a long while.

Honestly, I'm thinking about going back to Annabelle's old design. I'm not really happy with how her updated design turned out. Mainly because I can't draw in a convincing anime style for crap.

I've tried drawing anime twice before, the only real problems I face are getting the eyes correct XD
Honestly, if I ever drew Annabelle in her new updated design, I would've cheated (for lack of better term) and take inspiration from how OK K.O. drew animesque characters. I feel that show did a good job of capturing an anime feel in a western art style.
