Done for Flipped Box.The thought behind this assault rifle is that it's an old design, that has been updated and modernized quite a lot over the years. It's the weapon of choice for street gangs, as it's cheap, reliable and easy to come by.

If this is worthy of street gangs, then the police and military must be having laser based weaponry, because this looks high end!

It was meant for a near-future/cyberpunk setting, so the cops and military would have had a lot more advanced weaponry. Think flechette ammuniton and particle weapons, stuff like that. But those designs never reached the same stage as the more simple ones, before I left the project.
