Description Requested through my etsy shop, this is a brushable base Rainbow Dash converted into a Derpy Hooves. I used Sculpey for the hair and her accessories and made mini envelopes from paper sealed with MLP stickers that came with some of my other brushables.

Yes, I do take custom orders. Depending on what you want they usually range $40-50. I will be making a similar item to sell at BroNYcon. I do not use molds for these ponies, so no two will look identical.

Acrylics for the paint and details.

*edit* Updated with new bigger bangs model. <3

*edit #2* Thank you EqD for the feature <3 [link]

I am wondering mostly what you used for the paint work... I noticed you said that you used Acrylic, and that works fine? Do you strip the wax off first, before you start painting, or do you just paint over the wax coating..?

Thanks,

I use nail polish remover to strip the base before painting.

Up to you. I usually put a base coat of white under.

Did you use clay for the muffin and bag?

Yep. Back of the bag is part of a clip from one of the princess tiara accessories.

How did you harden your clay, cause I don't have a kiln...

I use Scylpey brand oven bake clay. Works in any oven or toaster oven.

Ya, that's the kind I need... I was talking with some people yesterday, and I was like "damn, if I only could stick it in the oven.. :3" My mom rain out of nail polish remover, so I am going to have to find an alternative.... I have paint thinner, but that might actually damage the plastic...

Do you think paint thinner might work for stripping paint?

I've read a few custom forums that also recommend paint thinner. Just make sure whatever you use, wash the pony with soap and water afterwards before painting.

I have no paint stripper or anything to strips the paint, and for some reason this thinner won't either...

Lol, ahead of you but yeah. I already modified the hair at the customer's request. I'll update the pictures once she's repainted.
