Description I meant to finish this tutorial a really long time ago, but I've been swamped with homework since I finished the pattern... But I finally finished putting it together, yay! This is the pattern I used to make my red dragon plushie . Feel free to use this pattern and tutorial, but please don't sell the plushies you make with it! Also, I'd love to see pictures of your finished creations, if you're willing to share!

Here's a dragon I made following your pattern:

Somewhat above my skillset, but I persevered.

You're welcome! I remember trying and often failing to find certain patterns before I could make my own, so I try to share some of my own to make it a little easier for people who are in the position I used to be in

Maybe I'll make one.Β

I like your profile picture. It reminds me of El-ahrairah from Watership Down.

Ok!
Thanks! That's really interesting! I just drew that swirl to sort of mimic the shape of the hind leg, but it does look a bit like that rabbit.

I'm glad! Sorry it took so long...
Hmmm, I haven't seen that one either. There are these WIPs here and here , though, that might give you an idea of how to put one together. You could probably find a pattern that's similar to use as a base, and the spikes shouldn't be too hard to sketch out. If you want, maybe I could help you sketch out a pattern when I have time.

That would be great <3 BTW if you ever have a hard time looking for patterns yourself, Japanese and Russian ones are amazing!

Hahaha, I know! Half the ones I've used have been Russian. Have you ever seen this site ? It has tons of patterns, though it takes awhile to sift through to find the good ones. I recently started looking into where the patterns come from, though, and most of the ones on that site are taken from elsewhere. Also, I started making a database of the free sewing patterns I've found online. Feel free to check it out! It's nowhere near finished, though... I've found so many patterns; it's just a matter of figuring out who made them so I can get the references right, and then uploading everything, which takes a lot of time.

Cool! Also, where did you find Japanese patterns? I've only come across a few on Pinterest, like the one I used to make my Stitch plushie.

You can download the pdf by clicking the green download button on the right. The pdf includes the pattern and a tutorial for how to assemble the pieces.
