Description This is my submission for this month's contest over at ~ThatTime . It's "Movie Spoofs", so we had to pick a movie and put the IY cast in it. Being boring, I picked Princess Bride, probably because it was easiest...*shame,shame* I was thinking about Grease then thought "No...that just doesn't...fit." So I picked this. Inu Yasha is off-balance, I'm really sorry about that. I held the finished drawing up to the mirror and went "Goshdarnit!" I hate that. Lol, and I didn't want to re-do the whole freakin' thing over again. Kagome is okay, but her shoes are like...yeah.. I don't think I've ever really had to say this but the scanner butchered the shading, and I hope people are able to tell that I did shade it even though there's a gradient...

Inu Yasha and Kagome © Rumiko Takahashi
The Princess Bride © ...S. Morgan Stern? (did he really write the book? *feels stupid*...)

Ahahahahaha! InuYasha! You pop up at me from the randomest places! You and Harry Potter! I search something random on this website, like princess bride, or teens, or pizza, and there you are, the two of you, and sometimes even in the same picture! O.o you're both stalking me, aren't you! Well bless my chocolate bar, pop up as often as you want! I love random moments like this!

Wow! The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies!
To see InuYasha and Kagome as Westley and Buttercup is so cute!

I'm an ace at every trivia game for The Princess Bride.
I'll tell you that S. Morgenstern was a made-up name.
I mean, William Goldman wrote the story.
S. Morgenstern is the name he gave for himself as the author of the book in the movie.
Because he didn't want Peter Falk to open up the book and say, "The Princess Bride...by William Goldman..."
Because everybody watching the movie knows that William Goldman is the name of the screenwriter for the movie. LOL
William Goldman also wrote the original story.
First published in 1973. One of his readers got ahold of him and told him that he should make it into a movie.
He would have made it sooner than '87, but so many complications of different sorts arose.

I have the book myself. It includes the story and the beginning of Buttercup's Baby, a sequel that Goldman started, but never finished, so it never got published.

OMG! Inu-sama would make the PERFECT Westley!
"There are a shortage of perfect breasts in the world, t'would be a shame to damage yours." I can SO see him saying that. XD Hmmmm....who would Prince Humperdinck be? Sess? Naraku? And Inigo, what of Inigo? Now you have me curious

i'm really sorry to burst any bubbles, but there never was a morgenstern, or if there was he didn't write the princess bride. it was just an aspect of comedy for the book, that is 100% william goldman. florin has never been a country, it used to be a form of currency in italy. the whole idea that some satirist wrote a book on the history of his country is just a little joke that too many people didn't quite get. i looked goldman up after reading the book and found out that he didn't even have a son. just two daughters. nice picture, though

S. Morganstern, but William Goldman "wrote" the abridged version. Nice blend.

Oh dear. I like the drawing but having read peoples comments I think the world is retarded.

William Goldman wrote the book. The only book. There is no S. Morgenstern.

Read the book people, it is very witty, alot of which seems to have shot over certain peoples heads.

lol... I love the Edited version of the book... I can't find a copy of the movie though... -_-... it's sad... I want to read the second as well... lol... Goldman wrote the script for the movie, so they asked him to do "the good parts version" they sued him about trying to give people copies of what he thought should have happened in the reunion scene... lol... It's all in the forward and in the forward of his chapter one of "Buttercup's Baby" that he did for the twenty year marker or something for first making the "good parts" book... or it might be movie... lol... I LOVE HIS BOOTS!!!

Hehehe, and now that I've seen who you attributed the copyright to... Gah, I don't know if I should tell you or not! XD

...Eh, I'll just tell you: S. Morganstern wasn't a real person. There was no big boring book called "The Princess Bride" - there's just the hilarious one we all know and love. The "abridger" is actually the author, and he wrote the whole thing. Ex: where it says "With one thing and another, five years passed." (or something along those lines... I don't have the book in front of me, so I'm just going from memory...), there was no big boring chapter about Buttercup's princess training. That's just what the author wrote, to go along with the story about his son trying to read the book. So I guess you could say that "The Princess Bride" is a story within a story - Wesley & Buttercup's fairy tale within the events concerning the author's family that never really happened. Pretty ingenious, if you ask me

S. Morgenstern wrote it first, then William Goldman re-wrote it in a way that people could understand it easier. (Cause the first one is really old) William Goldman's version is the one that the movie was based off of. The book is good ^^

Yay for Kagome in a dress that goes past her knees! And Inuyasha for having a sword that's smaller than he is, xD

I love Kagome's dress. It's all flowy.

I think Goldman wrote it himself, and made up the stuff about S. Morgenstern for comedic effect.
