Ah! Finally got this done <3
I spent my whole day working on this lol, in general I was being very slow coloring this and just taking my time and enjoying it really. Practicing some new techniques and drawing some scenery! This in general was alot of fun to draw <3
I'm super happy with the seults and I really am happy that I'm finally getting y'know some more finished and good looking stuff for you all to enjoy <3
I sketch alot to the side but sitting down and finishing things have been a bit of a struggle lately QwQ
However I'm hoping to continue putting out content when I can <3

Also! This takes place in the Geiru shrine.
The shrine itself,to which ink maidens serve in, is placed on a very gorgeous mountain actually.
Genshi here just got done training,rather unscaved, and was just taking a small break to enjoy some cool sake on a bench in one of the lower levels of the mountain.
Like I know those bruises look kinda bad but honestly this is nothing really to ink maidens.

Think of Ink maidens as modern day spartan women that also serve in a shrine <3
They're like fucking amazons man!
Practicually from birth they're trained in combat and to have a really fucking high pain tolerance,including basic magic skills and techniques. As well with funeral rituals, accepting prayers, and exorcism. Once an Ink maiden reaches the age of 18 they're put through the blood ink ritual.
It's a right of passage and the final step to becoming a full on Ink Maiden/Miko.
Their body is dipped in a well of blood ink,they're not allowed to cry or scream during this process at all. To normal people like you or I, quite literally this could cause you to die from just how much stress your body is going under or ,at the very least, make you pass out from the pain. It's excruciating, however the ink melds and fuses with body enhancing Magical ability/defense/strength/Agility.
In general of the cooler properties of Blood ink is that you can get cut up and bruised but it will never leave a scar on the body.
The elders explain it as that the person has gone through too much at this point to have any knife really scar them. Not only that but Blood ink is quite literally a Bio armor,as you can see Genshi is like. Super fluffy! And she is like super soft and warm to hug,however if you were to attack her it'd feel like she was suddenly made out of steel. Because of the blood ink instantly reacting to the person being in danger.

I really do need to work on them more and develop their history more : 3 But I hope you all like this none the less! <3 <3
