I swear I've only seen shots (and several thereof) of this costume from this very same spot, though I don't remember there being that many cameras out at the time o.O
This one's mine anyway, hah.

L and R are the same letter as far as Japanese is concerned, you can read it either way. It's Horo in most localisations and fansubs, but not the US release. Similar to how Hellsing has Arucard instead of Alucard, or Death Note's protagonist is written Raito until far late into the series where they revealed he was supposed to be called Light.
Holo sounds far more ridiculous, like it's supposed to be short for hologram or something

Out of curiosity, did you make the ears and tail yourself? I wanted to cosplay Horo, but I'm not sure where to start with the ears and tail. Fantastic cosplay, by the way. =]

I hear that a lot XD but you'd be surprised what you're capable of... with a lot of patience
Most fabric shops sell patterns for clothing like that - basically big sheets of tissue paper with the shapes on for you to cut out of fabric, and instructions of where to sew what. Wigs are usually bought on ebay, then maybe cut/styled yourself with hairspray (gel won't work on wig fibre), and fur is hard to find but works just like fabric - you can cut out a rectangle of it, fold in half with the fur on the inside, sew down the long end, and sew one end off in a semi circle, cut the bits outside the semicircle off, then turn inside out and stuff with cotton wool or something = instant tail!
