As part of this little OS-tan fanart binge, Ruth sat down for about an hour and a half (longest time she's *ever* sat still and drawn something apparently) and came up with this somewhat uber montage lineart: [link]

Colouring/shading/etc by me, comments on that can go right here, comments on the art itself throw at Ruth's version if you could; I feel bad stealing pageviews for her artwork.

To compliment I've pretty much spent an entire day on this thing, so much that I'm now blind to how it actually looks. I've probably missed entire sections and won't notice without it pointed out.

For those unaware, OS-tans are little mascot characters for various operating systems, mostly Microsoft Windows variants but a few others feature in the collection too. Rather than official mascots these are collectively created and canon-ised by largely anonymous denizens of Futaba/2ch, a Japanese message board. More info at: [link]

Centre stage:
Windows 98SE-tan (Pockybox version)
Windows 2k-tan

Right:
Windows 95-tan
Windows XP-tan

Windows 98SE-tan (Secchan version)

Ironic that XP-tan - The Major Fanservice One (tm) - got the least 'screentime' here. Searching for reference on how the back of her outfit looks it's pretty clear people are only interested in drawing her front -_-

Win3.1-tan makes a rare appearance! Minus the DOS kitty though. Ruth tried to fit NT-tan in there too, but didn't quite manage it.

The lighting still feels kinda random to me, I can't tell if it's looking good or just blurred to crap anymore.. Sleep required!
