I wasn't really digging how my old Mario & Luigi-wannabe styled Sonic sprite looked. So I updated it a bit and made a Classic Sonic which I thought looked even better. Modern Sonic doesn't have green eyes because black eyes are the standard colour in the style regardless of the character's eye colour in their other appearances. I was debating whether to make an exception for Modern Sonic due to his green eyes being so...infamous, but decided against it. Also Classic Sonic is a lighter blue like how he was depicted in Sonic Generations.Related content

Modern Sonic needs to be a little bit more... Modern, he doesn't looks very different from Classic.

As I just replied to Shinbaloonba, I'll see what I can do to improve the Modern Sonic that is not just slapping those green eyes on him.

Maybe making his spines look longer and make him a bit more slim.

The modern Sonic just feels like..Sonic,not modern nor classic. If Classic wasn't by his side,I wouldn't be able to tell he was meant to be modern at all.
Maybe you could add the white soles and make his body sleeker?

True, the one on the left originally did start as a generic "Sonic". Good call on the soles, I didn't think of that and I'll try it. He's already kinda scrawny, do ya think lengthening his torso a little bit would help to make him seem sleeker? Thanks for the crit.

I just tried in paint,it still looks good if you make his body 2 pixels slimmer (1 of each side,if you know what I mean).
You could also make his quills (much) longer,and bring his eyes down by a pixel,making his muzzle smaller,as it's meant to be smaller than classic's.

Nicely done, I like the differences between the two Sonics so that you can easily tell which one is Modern and which one is Classic. Excellent work.
