A study in black and white focusing on light. I enjoyed this, it was fun painting all the details. Also, it's meant to be blurry, because it signifies who the character is. Risen's a spirit, but he's blind. He's see through the animals. I'll tell you a little bit of this new story I'm thinking of:Basically, this guy is trying recruit/change a sorceress into one of his kind, as he intends to destroy humans for what they have done to the earth and the animals. So he's kind of like a missionary worker I guess, but with a much more extreme prospect.Β

He's a spirit.. Or more accurately - a glorified demon. Only him in particular though, the others are perfectly typically spirity; guarding over their respective animal counterparts.Β

That's the exact reason actually, he's planning taking other people and changing them into spirits in order to gain enough power to wipe out the race. He really hates humans because of what they do to animals and how much they're destroying the Earth. The other spirits I wouldn't say are as brave or reckless, the other spirits act more like the animals they represent, shy, cowering away from humans. I haven't quite figured out what makes Risen this way, it is a relatively new story XD

But being us, we're too prideful and ignorant to understand or do anything about what we're doing wrong. There are many reasons for this.. But mostly just because of the fact it would be almost unhuman to do so

The lighting is great, as it focuses the eye of the viewer firstlyΒ on the face,
which is the point of interestΒ and secondly on the eagle hat.
