Personal stuff, haven't been able to do much lately, but I started the original sketch of this nearly two months ago xD I finally got it finished today and overall I'm happy with it. There are a few things wrong with it, but I feel I learnt a lot in the process and I enjoyed it! It gave me an excuse to mess around with his wing design too, the glowing red was an experiment but I actually kinda like how it came out. I might incorporate that into the final design.ΒRelated content

Oh my bad haha I thought girl immediately because of the long hair and I think there aren't obvious male features on this drawing, but I should have guessed it though, with the legs, especially the thigh with muscles detailed.

Haha no it's fine, I get it a lot with this particular character xD He's meant to look feminine so I don't blame people for thinking he's female owo
His name is Risen, he's a God Angel and Ancestral Spirit of Flight owo they do follow a ranking system, but it isn't as complex as something like the Kabbal xDΒ
In my Angel hierarchy it usually goes from a Warrior Angel (which is what Caio is, they hold little military and unearthly rank), then to Guardian, Lord, Seer and then Gods. Gods are typically very unstable, and if they use their powers they tend to get weaker mentally which leads to breakdowns and rampages. Risen is still alive because he chose never to use his powers and thus has become very calm and relaxed, he understands the consequences and knows to avoid doing it.Β

Haha no, it's much simpler than that. He doesn't represent neither Heaven nor Hell as he is not inclined that way. He is a protector and guardian of the winds and birds, the red is there purely because he's based off beautifully patterned birds like pheasants and it adds an extra level of lavish quality to his stature.
