Description Just playing some more with UF. I'm also going to try some photomanipulation to help promote my Digital Arts Comfort-Zone Contest , and to help me learn a new medium.

oooooooooo... I would have named it Passion, though, because one of the the red bubbles looks a little like a heart.

UF pieces never seem as beautiful and intricate as Apophysis ones. I can't deny the colours in this one though, nice job man.

Yeah, I definitely agree. Every time I try UF, I can't stay out of Apo, just because I like it so much more. It's so much more versatile and easily tweakable. Thanks for the comment and critique!

Having used both programs somewhat successfully, I have to respectfully comment on your remark. If anything, UF is the more versatile program, with so many more options available than Apo.
I suspect that what puts Apo users off UF is their unwillingness to spend time learning, since admittedly UF has a much steeper learning curve, and good images can't be knocked off a dozen a day as they are in Apo.
Once you've conquered the UF beginner tutorials, I think you'll find the program much more satisfying as far as creating unique and interesting images.

What puts me off personally is actually the immense amount of choices you have when it comes to UF. It's daunting for me, and it's hard to keep track of what I have where. I have great respect for UF users, but I'm much more of a visual person myself -- numbers themselves don't do much for me, so it's very good actually to have something tangible to manipulate: the transforms. It's simply the way I've learned all my life, and it's why I was always so much more proficient with Geometry than Algebra. With UF, it's just plugging in numbers and layers, whereas with Apo, you can see exactly how moving X triangle will affect the fractal in Y way.

Well, this is just silly. I won't argue your misunderstanding of how UF works. Suffice it to say that unless you have made a serious attempt to use UF, you can't understand how versatile the program is.
And for the record, I aced my geometry final in school, and only got an B in algebra.

Then I suppose it's a matter of personal preference, as I'm clearly mistaken.

no prob. your fractal work makes me want to try harder to make more time to work on this stuff. (thus far, i've only barely dabbled in fractals.)
