Just thought this would be fun to post. XDIt's my crazy-ass desk set up where I spend 50% of my time and DRAAWWWW STUFFFS.
Now you may be asking yourself, Nestly! You can't possibly need so many displays!!
And to that I say YES I DO. One is the Cintiq, but as you can see, my cintiq is quite small so I end up missing many details since the screen is so small and the display is not that bright. So I have it connected to my bright monitor to the left there so I can always look up to see how it's looking and make sure I didn't miss anything!
Monitor in the middle is for surfing the web, and watching the Walking Dead while working on the cintiq, lol.
The right monitor is usually used for Netflix while I'm not heavily involved in a drawing project, or as seen here, I use it as a reference to what I'm drawing. (Such as the photo of the dog) Which helps a lot!
SO I NEED THEM OKAY. D8 Waahh.

And yeah it's a custom built computer. I loved the look of that case, haha. But I'm an idiot because it only has two USB ports in the front. DX
And lol yeah I bought a bunch of that Windwaker fabric but I sent it all to a DA plushie artist who was looking for the fabric since it was all gone where she lived. I liked the one in the photo just because it's from Majora's Mask, haha.

My desk is just... omg. Old ass, hella stained wooden desk, tablet, laptop, headphones, study papers, my purse, a bra and t-shirt hanging around... It have some really useful drawers we use to store old cables and all kind of old ass stuff and a space under it that Toby and Boris love to sleep on. pffft
So fugly I don't think it deserves a picture x'D Makes me wanna ACTUALLY decorate it for a change. haha

Well Nintendo did fuck up a lot about it. The games released for it weren't good for YEARS and the hardrive space on it is laughable. It is a nice system but I just feel like a lot of it was a missed opportunity.
(They also screwed up Pikmin 3! Meehhh!)

Well not really for years. I mean Mario came out with it and that game was freakin awesome. Though I agree about them screwing up. I think they just wanted to have it come out with the other systems.. I've never actually played Pikmin how'd they screw it up?

I just feel like the WiiU didn't get noticed much until a couple years ago with Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash I guess. XD
Pikmin 3 was probably okay for new players to the series, but they made it SO much less challenging than 2. 2 had a sort of dungeon crawler aspect to it that was really well done and challenged you to manage your Pikmin very tightly through multiple floors. It also had an additional complete ending for finding all the items. Where as in 3, you ONLY really collect fruit, which keeps your crewmates from starving to death. So it was more of a chore than an adventure to find new shiny items-- that's what I feel like at least. Also boss battles took SO long that your day would literally run out in the middle of your fight... OMG that was so infuriating!! Haha.

I've never actually played any of the pikmin games so I've only seen random things xD Does like everything just cut off after a day ends or something xD That would really irritate me.

Yeah I think the marketing really killed it too. I lot of parents couldn't figure out what to buy since the Wii and the WiiUs names are SO similar, so that was a common mistake when buying for kids, haha. Family members saw the Wii was cheaper so would end up just buying that instead. It's crazy.
Omg Pikmin is literally one of my favorite game series! You should play 1! I dunno what you mean by "cut off". Once each day starts to end you'll get warnings that you have to gather up your Pikmin and finish what you're doing before night comes. It's fun to be able to see how well you can micromanage everything and see how many things you can get done in one day. The enemies will come back every couple days or so but it's not like everything gets reset. All the walls you knock down stay knocked down, as well as bridges and items collected.

Yeah I really should sometime. It looked cute I just never got it xD and what I mean is like are you forced to stop doing everything and go to bed or something? I know some games do that. What does collecting items even do? Like what're the goals of the game?

Yeah, you do have to stop what you're doing, but I can't imagine just playing forever without a day system, haha. You'd just have to play to see what I mean. It gives the game a good challenge I guess.
Well in the first one, you've crash landed on a planet where you're the size of a bug and the Pikmin help you gather pieces of your ship. You only have 30 days of oxygen so you basically have 30 days to beat the game. (You don't need to find all 30 parts to beat it though, but it's pretty easy to do so.)
In the 2nd one there is no 30 day time limit-- you're basically looking for stuff to bring back to your planet to sell for money. (But some items will give you special abilities) The challange in the 2nd one isn't time, as I said before the 2nd one had a brilliantly challenging dungeon crawler aspect to it.
Β It's always suggested this "planet" is Earth since the items you find are human items, lol.

Kinda reminds me of harvest moon. The day cycles in that game always screwed me up xP They both sound really interesting! Maybe someday I'll be able to play them. Whenever I have money to buy more games xD;

I never got into Harvest Moon! It just seemed like a more boring version of Animal Crossing, lol.
And yeah unfortunately the Gamecube Pikmins are kinda pricey due to the retro collectors. D:

Yeah in some ways it can be boring but relaxing at the same time xD I really liked Magic Melody since there were actual goals to work twords to try and get all the notes. Pretty bizarre when these chibi lookin characters get married and have a baby though lol;

FF7 isn't bad, only $20 at most. It went WAY down from like 5 years ago but that was because people were weirdly obsessed with having it for some reason and marked up the prices.
I think FF3 for SNES is somewhat pricey.
But yeah Conker's goes for around $60-$80. It's a really unique and fun game though, haha.

Yeah you can marry a bunch of different people. I played a girl in there and ended up marrying the doctor lol. Now they all have guys and girls you can marry except I think that's the only one where no matter which gender you are this one character always changed to the opposite and are the hardest to marry other than the goddess I believe. I spend way too long on these games lmao;
Yeahh when I got it it was really expensive since everyone suddenly wanted it and I've never actually played it before so I wanted to get it. I still have ff2 and 3 on the snes. I don't actually remember not having them xD
omg yeah. I figured that out. I heard the mighty poo song and had to get the game. Plus it played kinda like Banjo and I loved that game. That game was much harder than I expected though holy crap. That teddi war thing was almost impossible.Β I know they made it much easier in the remake but for like no reason they censored it? I mean honestly it was on the xbox and they're worried about saying shit? but not on the 64 wtf. Besides being extremely frustrating at times I loved the story.

I honestly cannot play FF7, the graphics are soooooooooooooooo dated. x__X They were too dated for me to handed back 10 years ago even. I'm planning to give it a try for the first time when the remake comes out!
Lol man Conker's Bad Fur Day is the best. Aside from it's raunchiness it's actually a solid plat former, even if it is a satire. XD Can you imagine my face renting this from Blockbuster one day because I knew Conker from Diddy Kong Racing, popping it in the N64 and being SHOCKED? Lol. Priceless.
And yeah I've never played the remake but I heard it was watered down.
And YES! That's a true Rare game for you! I missed platformers from Rare. Are you excited for Yooka Laylee?

I literally haven't played a final fantasy since the ones on the snes xD I could get past the graphics though but it's hard when everyone's hyped it so much that I'm worried it won't be as good. Plus I know that one spoiler of who dies; I just usually prefer to play originals of stuff. I only use an emulator when it's wicked expensive but for platformers it's just like nope not gonna happen lol.
Omg that would've been hilarious. xD I saw commercials for it on comedy central (I watched a lot of south park when it was new even though I was a kid lol) so I knew from the beginning it wasn't for kids so I couldn't be surprised lol. I was more surprised that Conker was even in DKR or that such a game even came out on a nintendo system. Didn't get to play it until a few years ago when I found it in a retro store. I remember every frustrating thing in the whole game even though I've only played through it once lol.
Yeah I mean I would expect the controls to be easier since that was a huge problem for me personally but censoring them saying shit was like really? Kinda ruined the Poo song. I'm glad I found out and played the original beforehand cause that would've irritated me.
HOMG YES! When I heard about it I was like HOLY KDHGFGB I played the first Banjo soo many times and also found tooie in the past couple years though I haven't beaten that one yet. But omg I NEED Yooka Laylee when it comes out!

It's not like I haven't seen them or heard about them I just never played them xD I played 4-6 a bunch but only beaten 4 because that one was my favorite. Now that I think about it I do remember renting I think crystal chronicles? It was something on gamecube. It was one where you'd be poisoned if you didn't get water or something? I barely remember since I had it for like a week lol; but yeah it won't have much of an impact if I already know about it. It just makes me want to not even bother with her unless I absolutely need to since she won't stay anyways.

I had no freakin clue how much harder that game was than the first. I got to like the second time where you use Kazooie as a gun. I know it's when you're timed and something about poison or making it explode? I rage quitted and I don't think I've played it since. I had a hard enough time with Gruntilda on the first game lol. I'm sure I'll beat it one day when I have the patience to try again. Especially since I did that crap where it's been so long I'd need to start the game over again. But hey If I can beat Conker I can beat that cause Banjo had better controls and no bullshit Teddiz.

Lol Crystal Chronicles was special. I actually really liked playing it with friends, but it was overall not a very favorited game because there wasn't really any story and it was pretty boring.
The thing that made it REALLY HARD TO PLAY was that you needed a link cable and a gameboy advance for each person you wanted to join you in multiplayer. Which... come on NO ONE had, lol. Luckily one of our friends did and we all had a set of cables. But for the average person playing that game alone? Laaaaame. And yeah you have to have one character carrying a lanturn at all times to purify the air or something.
Final Fantasy Explorers actually just came out for the 3DS which is very similar to CCs.

yeahh I only rented it from blockbuster so I didn't know what to expect. I remember playing with my one friend but we didn't have any of that stuff so we didn't play much of it xD
It kind of reminds me of 4 swords where it was like everyone had to have the system, game and cables. Though I was the only one who had half of those things so I couldn't even play it lol; At least it had link to the past on it

Haha yeah I used to have a very tall desk with no room for any sort of large setup. The black desk I have in the picture I got from IKEA for real cheap, lol. Good old IKEA.

I might have 2 monitors, but I worry about having so many flashing lights aimed at my face. XD Looking at them late at night is supposed to be bad for my sleep, it's probably not so great for my eyes either.Β You're one of the few artists I know that owns a Cintiq. They're so expensive, but it seems to be an invaluable tool for anyone who wants to make art professionally. But there are clearly not nearly enough sculptures of creatures to look after you while you are here! heheh
Looks like you've got a half-decent set of speakers there. I wonder how Pixel feels about the large box emitting low rumbles beside him/her? heheh I think that's very cute that Pixel comes to be with you while you're drawing (and maybe not just for the treats XD).
That DA bag actually looks pretty neat-o. I wonder why the store was closed. I am curious about what that vase-looking thing with the stripes is on the edge of your desk near your right monitor. Everything looks relatively neat and clean and organized.

Cintiqs are the best investment I've ever made!! But I think a lot of artists don't want to invest because they're not sure how serious about art they wanna be? Ya know?
And sculptures oh man no there's too many of them. I have a giant display thing on my wall in my room. XD
Lol I don't really play my music that loud ever since I share the room with all 3 of my roommates. One of them gets really annoyed that I don't wear headphones so I try to keep it down. Especially the base.
Pixel used to lay in my lap all the time but now he's a butt head and prefers the pillow. 8( sadness.
It was a couple years ago when the store shut down-- clearance sale! I got a sweet ass camera bag too. I don't think they were making enough money on their store. Sad because it was something to use points on.
