Iblis: RAWR FLAMES OF DISASTER!Chaos: Dude, you're on my turf!
Silver: My life sucks.
Seriously, if Iblis came in and started tearing up the world, I imagine that Chaos would take offense. Then the two of them would level the planet much more effectively than just Iblis could. No wonder Silver wanted to do one (or both) of them in so badly.
....yes, the fanfic-worm won't stop gnawing me.
Thanks to everyone for their critiques and comments. It's great to have a chance to do a pic this much fun.

yeah chaos doesnt like it when somone new takes into its turf, only chaos can be the ultimate power *seriously how many times have people died when facing perfect chaos in sonic? plus they need the chaos emeralds that if chaos just eats them and the master emerald then its supreme!*

...this would actually have solved Silver's problem quite nicely! Since Chaos's spirit was calmed in SA1, and is now a good guy, all Silver would need to do was release him, power him up with the 7 Emeralds, and viola, the Flames of Disaster are extinguished!

I had a little fic-sketch detailing this very idea. Everybody on Mobius thought Perfect Chaos could stop Iblis, so they fed him the chaos emeralds.
Ever notice how on our world, volcanoes keep on erupting no matter how hard the ocean beats on it? The whole ocean can't extinguish the earth's core. All their battling does is ruin the atmosphere, kill everything in the ocean, and render the continents uninhabitable.

Well, technically, Chaos WAS there first, until Super Sonic (then much 'later', normal Sonic) blew him to bits to calm him down.

This is also one serious plothole in the game. If Iblis laid waste to the world, including the Floating Island, surely Chaos would have reacted in self defense. So WHY didn't Iblis get doused?
Yet another nail in the coffin of the story that never was.
