I recently caught Mewtwo in Pokemon Leaf, and proceeded to OWN the Elite Four with him. I see now why Mewtwo is liked so widely in the Pokemon community (and why he wound up in Super Smash Bros Melee). Then I got to thinking ... he's a lot like Shadow. The escaped experiment and everything. So here's a pic of them griping about the way their writers created them. XDRelated content

Come to think of is, Mewtwo and Shadow ARE very similar!

I love the background. And Mewtwo and Shadow are alot alike, i haven't thought about it. I love their poses, they look completely natural. (well, as natural as it can get for a giant black hedgehog and a mutated cat) And yes, Mewtwo's a cat. Mew's a cat, hence "Mew", which makes Mewtwo a cat, being Mew's clone. The humans just messed around with him too much, so now he looks like a....i'm not sure.

Shadow-What are you getting at?
Mewtwo-We are not so different, you and I. I was an experiment as well, a copy of a Mew, a Pokemon thougt to be extinct. You, however, have been created by the Black Arms.
Shadow-Tell me something I don't know.
Mewtwo-What if we were to join forces?
Shadow-?
Mewtwo-Together, through our combined might, we could usher in a new world, where we rule all, human and Pokemon alike.
Shadow-I'm not sure, humans have done nothing to harm us...
Mewtwo-WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT HARM?! I WAS USED BY A HUMAN! I WAS TO BE HIS PET! AND YOU? THEY TOOK MARIA FROM YOU!
Shadow-How...
Mewtwo-Did I know? I am a Psychic type. I can read minds, and your's is a tale of sorrow and jealousy. But together, we can make that all go away.
Shadow-How?
Mewtwo-We must cleanse this world. Cleanse it of all impure beings, until we have purified all of this Earth, and rule it. Interested?
Shadow-Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh, HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA! You think that by destroying all life, we will be able to start anew? HA! Laughable!
Mewtwo-Hold. Consider this. If you don't, you will spend the rest of your life as an outcast, a nobody, a hollow shell. Maria will weep, and you will fade away.
Shadow-.....Very well. I accept your humble offer.
Mewtwo-Excellent. The world will now heed our warning. The reign of Mewtwo and Shadow will soon begin.
