I'd //love// to leap gracefully through a magical forest like that! JEALOUS. D:
Went very much for a pleasant, colorful look like you would see in a children's book! I think it suited the character well~!
This character is based off a very dear friend of hers who passed away some time ago. He is a wolf who guards a little garden deep within a forest.
I hope I did him justice, dear!
also, I /really/ enjoyed painting this one up! ]I had this color palette in mind before I even finished the sketch, so it was a lot of fun playing around with it! Plus, listening to My Morning Jacket always makes artwork more of an experience than "work".

I remember you saying that you draw your lines on paper and scan them in to colour, Do you draw your whole backgrounds and everything? Or is some of the lines done on the computer?

Yup, I complete the lineart on charcoal paper with art pencils, then I scan it, refine it (make sure the scan quality is good; fix any lightness or dullness in the scan)
Then I paint digitally!

Oh lordy, look at that detail. The way you manage to incorporate so many plants in such detail and make it all mesh together without seeming overbearing is just amazing to me. What a gorgeous commission result. They're sure to be pleased!
