Description This is a Premium Commission for whom I was very excited to paint for again!

I was also /very/ excited to draw this idea for her! She developed the idea for this character and wanted me to draw it in any environment that inspired me, so it was fantastic getting to bring the character to life with full creative liberty!
I was sure to make him seem almost at one with the tree roots he's resting on, to give off that sort of "forest spirit" vibe.

I hope you all like it; I can definitely say I enjoyed it!

Haha, it is a blend of watercolor textures I made and of digital coloring I did; it's a technique I developed for myself.

I am swayed very deeply to love any forest spirit/ protector. I love the connection this guy has to his surroundings with the textures and colours. The face wit the leaves as fur is perfect and interesting too. Also love the brighter tones on him vs the bluer ones in the backdrop.... just well done. ^.^

I a;ways try and stay connected to nature, too! Most people don't get to live in natural environments, most people are fenced in by cubicle walls and concrete all day long, and it's just not healthy or right. Just by drawing and sharing pictures of nature, I like to think I can make people feel a little bit of the peace walking over a cool grassy field brings people.
