After so many months of silence, nothing like having here a picture of a train - since it's the only type of images I submit that generate a bit of feedback. And this, as you may guess by the lettering on the front, is an Intercity train. A "new" Intercity train. Which means to say "this is a Class 2240 unit , refurbished to Intercity service between Lisbon and Covilhã". Of course they're no substitute to a train with locomotive and coaches...
So, in this image, CP 2295 passes by the old (almost ghost) station of Setil with the 14h35 542 Intercity train from Covilhã to Lisboa-Santa Apolónia
