Description
They Drew BloodNothing to do with that song. I found this picture in an old National Geographic of an old man in a hospital room with a doctor asleep in the corner. So I changed it a bit. I was trying to focus on the reflection and (horribly butchered) perspective for my AP stuff.
Acrylic on canvas
Edit
What's the yellow stuff in the container? It isn't lemonade, that's for sure.

I see nothing wrong with the perspective, and the reflective bit is pretty darned amazing. I've never tried it before, but I bet it's really difficult

I was instantly drawn to this. Reminded me of MCR... the old stuff. And it turned out that it was what I suspected. I love it

dialysis? o.o
sorry if you've already answered this but about how big was your canvas? just curious as to your working size, since you like the tinyness.....

Maybe!
Hm, I think this one was about 17"X14" or something like that? Bigger than usual.

It's still really good though. I really like the way you shaded the support pipe of the bed, and the tubes all look pretty cool too.

lol kudos on ur lemonade comment. ha. this picture is detailed and intimate...how the focus isnt purely on the human but also on whats being done to them.

Yeah...I'm supposed to start doing more pieces that don't focus specifically on a figure.

amazing!
i love how it kinda looks dirty. must have been really hard to acheive with acrylics? i painted a monkey skull with lilies for my art project an found that really hard, but it must have been really difficult to do all that detail in there. must have been a big canvas!

I love me some grungy acrylic paintings.
The canvas wasn't really that big...I have a masochistic obsession for miniscule details on a small scale. :c

lol me too - do u use a hard dry brush an kinda stab it (with control of course)? i think thats how i did mine - didnt quite turn out like that though.
u must use really tiny brushes

I find drybrushing doesn't work so well on canvas. I usually use a clear acrylic polymer and mix it with different kinds of paints to get layered effects and add and remove paint.

WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD!?
I'm beyond hella jealous of your gift to amaze me that my eyes peel over and crust.
This has a Silent Hill aura to it. How long did this take you to paint?
