Taang? Pfft. Tokka? Whatev. Toko? Please. Jetoph for me, plz. :3You might be wondering if I'm on crack...
YES! Shipping is so much fun to mess with.
I'm currently deciding whether or not to sell some ATLA playing card decks, and while I was drawing, I had a choice between Haru, Jet, or Teo to be the "king" card for the Earth Kingdom. It was then I found the most kick-asstastic pairing.
Why Jet/Toph? ...I don't know. Rebellious teen/preteen? Headstrong individuals? Who knows. As I was putting the finishing touches, these two just clicked in my head. I think I was remembering suppressed scenes of the two from "Lake Laogai" in my subconscious. ...Okay, not much of a "whiff" of a shipping, but I could care less now that I'm hooked.
AND ONLY 3 FANFICS OF JETxTOPH ON FF.NET??? Come on. I know it's kinda creepy, but I have been subject to creepier things.
And it helps to listen to Green Day's single 21 Guns . Can't wait until I can play it on the guitar without my fingers cramping up.

Trouble makers for the win! I can just imagine them having a spunky duet number together in a musical. Actually, it could be really funny if somebody wrote a fanfiction replacing Taiga and Ryuuji with these two in the first episode of Toradora!

I really think this is a magnificent piece of artwork. I love that you made the two characters your own while simultaneously making it obvious who they are meant to be.
My only issue is that Toph's eyes shouldn't be able to focus so well. She doesn't look blind.

Jetoph? that is SO EPIC. although i'm a fan of Toph/Teo, aka TEOPH, in the realm of crack!Toph ships. the world would NOT be safe if Jet and Toph got together, because Ozai is not as scary. Ozai wishes he was as scary.

I don't think it's creepy. In fact, I think that it's an okay idea. It's creepy when other artists try to depict it. But this one really convinced me that this coupling can work out. I just love the shading of the jade and green in this work. Truely splendid. But I don't get why Toph's eyes are now green as if she can actually see through them...oh well! I think this work is really beautiful and I really love the outfit that you design. Especially the jade necklace on Jet. I think that it's a really nice touch. Thanks again for the Toph and Katara bookmarks. My cousin loved them. And I think that Haru should be the King in your "ATLA playing card decks for Earth". I don't know. It just feels right after Toph said, "I knew it! You do have a thing for Haru!"

I don't know whether to cling to this pairing or shame you for thinking of it. I think I'll go with something in the middle, and laugh at it while I secretly go and check out the three stories of them.
On a different note (I don't know if it's more or less related), I love this picture. The different styles clash beautifully, and Toph and Jet stick out wonderfully. The expressions are stunning, and the overall picture is an eye-grabber.
