EDITWow, everyone's been so nice!
However, I think I see the light, now. This is pretty fugly (effing ugly). 
There's so many things wrong. The thing I hate the most...is her face! >_____> I'm so sorry Katara...I do you no justice...

will not be tolerated. I will not hold any discussions or flame wars about different couples. This deviation is for viewing pleasure, only.When I saw Katara's mom on TSR, I just thought she looked so amazing and pretty!
Well, since Katara is the daughter of the chief, it's safe to give her the title of princess of the Southern Water Tribe.
This is her when she's about 16-17 yrs old. Anyways, even though I like Zutara, I still dislike the idea that she's a prize for either Zuko or Aang. I still picture her as an independent soul that would help lead her people now that Yue is the moon spirit. With her abilities and character, I think she's more than something to hang off of someone's arm.
I was sad the show ended, so I'm working on something that I felt like I needed to get off my chest. Zutara-related, obviously.
Besides, Bryke, be happy to know how many people like your show - shipping or no shipping. Also, I did this because I was having a bad week with drawings lately.

She is gorgeous! I agree with you on Katara; she has too much greatness inside her to just be a love interest/damsel in distress. She deserves to have her own story. Anyway, very beautiful piece!

Ohh, wow, very nice, this is proably one of the best older Katara's I've ever seen. You can still tell that it's Katara, but you can also see where you've taken influence from how her mother looked. I love the colours too. Very nice work.

Very nice! I love her garments. And that's something I didn't think about. If Yue's father was the chief of the nothern water tribe and it made Yue a princess the same should be with Katara. Nice work.

true that. I found it hilarious but then after I say it it was kind of...eh...I got the vibe that they were making fun of us and just saying. "See THIS?? Yeah It didn't happen kiddies, only in crap fanfics and fanart." I was pretty sad. But on the plus side I also saw it as a NEW way that Zutara was made canon.

EPIC LULZ. But then...THEN they had the gall to use Sora-Ko's WONDERFUL AND MAGNIFICENT Zutara art there. (Which, being the very picky artist that I am, thought it was the best decently drawn portrayal of the two) Hilarious...but with a ew complex.

I'm more furious than sad at this whole ordeal. I mean, Zutarians have gotten it bad enough over the years from their fellow fans and DO NOT need it from Bryke. We better have a good bonus on the season 3 boxed set to make up for this crap is all I really have to say!
Although, besides the whole degrading Zutarians thing, it was kinda funny. Bleh, I still don't like their lack of tact and using art from the community when Viacom's having a bitch fit over our AMVs. :<

When you put it that way I can't help but agree with you whole heartedly. Now that I think about it, it really isn't fair that they use our own works to make us look like idiots. It's insulting. But I guess they kinda made up for it with the school time shipping though, Katara DID end up with the Blue Spirit which in a way is a Zutara in itself. Haha! also the whole "Tiny Zuko! Oh you look so cute!" Heart heart. That was just win right there.

True, they did give us a little with the chibi shorts. But it's like, our own work? It isn't right. They're adults and should have more maturity than to pull something like that. They're aware of the fandom! They proved that with EIP! Therefore, they should've known that pulling a stunt like that would've been a stake to the chest for Zutarians. It isn't right at all.
Feh, I hope *AVidZktjo chewed 'em out at SDCC after that bullshit! And given them copies of her ZEFID series as well. Not to mention lessons in TACT. :< We get it, we lost, IT DOES NOT NEED TO BE RUBBED IN OUR FACES.

She really does look like a princess~ And you are very right, she is a very independent person and shouldn't be treated as a prize ^_^ I don't think Katara would like to be thought of as a prize anyway~ ^_^
