Oh original titles.... /pets Mercer's awesome legs/More finished doodles between my finals. Really, ANYTHING is better than a life-size self portrait. >:C
I enjoyed the plot twists of Prototype and the sandbox gameplay, but it got repetative REAL fast. I mean, as much as I LOVE to just run around and parkour all over the place, and listening to Mercer's omgneednewpants-voice, the entire game was kinda.... 'meh'.

hahaha, what a graceful, hilarious, and incredibly accurate way to describe his voice. XD

ITS MERCER!
Loved the game. As repetitive at it is, it never got old running around and messing people's shit up in a consequence free environment with superpowers.

Haha, I think we all wish we could just run around with superpowers and take on tanks.
I swear, I got tired of dealing with the damn rip-off Pinky demons in the game though.

Oh god I loved that game... but yes, it did get a bit repetitive. Though I had way too much fun climbing buildings and taking flying leaps off them just to freak people out when I hit the ground. xD;
Love the way this turned out btw. He's got some sexy ass legs and I love the background.

OMG I know. I swear, I saw this piece a while back titled "SQUIRREL MERCER GET" and it fit it SO perfectly. It wasn't until I got a chance to play the game and unlock the glide ability that I saw WHY. Alex is the embodiment of a demonic sugar glider.
I'm actually quite proud of his legs. Legs are a challenge for me. BI

Lookie lookie, someone's found P.R.O.T.O.T.Y.P.E.
Such potential it had, but you're right, it gets repetitive pretty quick. There's only so many medal challenges you can do in one sitting.
On a brighter note, I like this piece. Dynamic posing, an interesting take on his facial structure, and creative use of speedlines. Bravo.

Ehhh, played it a few months back. Got bored with it, but felt like drawing Mercer since he's Mr. GrumpyPantsMcAwesomeLegs. Turns out I actually ended up quitting RIGHT before the final boss, but it was just so repetative I said fuckit and returned it to Gamefly.
Still kinda playing around with the new line quality in PS, as well as playing with my style again. I'm swinging between cartoony and... not as cartoony.
God, now I feel guilty admiting this, but they're not meant to be speedlines. I had no idea what to do with the bg so I just said "fuckit" scribbled some monochromatic colors on there, slapped a texture on, and called it good. :I

Fun but repetitive.
Nothing says you can't switch styles as you please. Some things look better "cartoony," some things look better "not as cartoony."
No need to feel guilty. Even if they aren't actually speedlines, they still look good for having come from a meh moment.

Man, I never realized his legs were so long until I read the comments. Their even long on the figurine. I agree with you as well, the game was excellent for a sandbox, but I got bored a lot of the time too.
Awesome work, Mercer was a cool character, for the little personality he had of course

I know, right!? I think if they had thrown in a few more interesting missions, maybe a few more cut-scenes and what not it'd be a bit more fun. But ah well. :C
WHAT'RE YOU TALKING ABOUT? GRUMPY AND VENGEFUL ALWAYS EQUALS AMAZING CHARACTERS

The thing about sandboxes that really annoys me, is that most of them don't have enough mission types. Most of the time they just use the same old mission, with a couple minor details changed, over and over again. That's what got to me about prototype and even the first Assassins Creed (second game was much better). But I guess it was still good for what it's worth. Ah well indeed
Speaking of grumpy and vengeful characters, and of assassins, Alex Mercer reminded me a lot of Altair. I dunno, must be the whole revenge thing.

Yup. I honestly think if they had varied the missions more and made more of them something you'd have to THINK about to solve instead of throwing the same old 'take out guard, absorb leader, enter base, fuck shit up' missions at us again and again.
The first AC was DEFINITELY repetitive, but I'm glad they hammered all that out in AC2.
They're not terribly deep--well, Altair maybe a liiiiiiittle more than Alex--but we love 'em anyway.

And then of course, they came along and actually made side quests INTERESTING in AC: Brotherhood. That's defiantly something I never thought could be done
Yeah, I still love Altair and Alex, but I love Ezio more. Those damn Italian's and their sexy voices.
