| First | | Previous | | Next | |More cutting down of Axis' dialogue. Sanity's right, Axis tends to take over comics when left to his own devices. When I was writing up dialogue for this I didn't get just ONE quip, I got several, but had to cut it down so you could actually SEE the comic. :T
To answer the inevitable: Clyshot's fine, you'll see him in the next page.

I told you! I told you. Axis is a beast to keep in line when you have to actually get somewhere in a REASONABLE number of pages. Why'd you make him a beast, Neur? Why?
I like Axis' face in the second panel. Dunno what it is. But he gets points for a dramatically backlit entrance.
For the life of me, I can't find the font I used for TikTik in Retrospect. However, there are a couple that look pretty good for her, in case you wanted to use one of them. Smudger LET, Staccato222 BT, Orange LET, and John Handy LET all look okay.

I went through a couple different expressions for that panel, from sneer, to frown, and a couple others. I'm glad this one works. :>

It's hard to stick with one-liners with Axis. He could pull of a paragraph and it still would not be enough.

True. Kinda like I was telling Aaron, it's easy to throw 'em out and about in an rp since it doesn't really matter if everyone gets it 100% of the time, but in comics I have to be a bit more careful so half the comics aren't the same "HUH?" question.

Comics are hard because you have to choose words very carefully. Like you say RPs are easier to do because anything goes. Chances are Tik Tik wouldn't sit and wait for Axis to paragraph her, while a one-liner can sneak in between attacks.

It's a bit of both at this point. As much as I've enjoyed this project, I JUST WANNA BE DONE. :C
I think with RP-ing Axis I can let him yammer, regardless, but in a chat it doesn't matter if the receiver of his babel always gets it. With comics I only have so much space and it's got to make sense to the reader.

I love rp!Axis. Maybe he can yammer in a journal or piece of paper and then you can highlight the best lines for the comic? That might help.
