anyway I love the light and the reflections on the rocks in this shot so i've uploaded it anyway.

Ah cool. My boyfriend (*InsaneGelfling ) is from Wareham in Dorset, so i've seen lots of images he's taken of kimmeridge. Hopefully I'll get to go myself this summer

Yeah kimmeridge is a great place to shoot altough it absolutly stinks of rotting sea weed in some parts of the bay (mainly under the cliff under the main car park).

I'm not much of a photographer to give you good critique of the composition, but the smooth reflection of the light on the water and the rocks make the picture look really beautiful and even surreal in some sense.

your right - bloody distortion! I shouldn't be getting that much bending from a lens that cost me £1k!!

Neutron2K In reply to Alex37 [2009-02-14 17:57:00 +0000 UTC]

oh no shit this was with my 10-20mm! That should have any strange distortion like that! (except for the obvious barrel distorition but not curving off like that is on the left!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Alex37 In reply to Neutron2K [2009-02-14 19:32:39 +0000 UTC]

no, the 17-55 cost me 1k lol. Not the 10-20mm.

It was the 10-20 i was shooting with in this shot lol. totally confused there as I was using both lenses last night for a change.

Excellent shot, as usual. I like the composition on this and I think the colours are perfect. Can I ask, was there any PP on this or is this straight from the camera?

This shot as pretty much straight from the camera. Theres a slight curves adjustment but thats it. I try to keep my post processing to absolute minimum.

I know you can't. But we photographers wish we could change the light of course. The colours could have used more punch. It didn't blame it on you.
