Description
I fought and fought to get a better composition from this angle but the huge rock / cliff on my right prevented it so in the end I had to settle for this.Enjoy

I for one really love the composition mate. I like the giant green stone in the almost center towards the bottom, and the rock on the right that kind of looks like a ship sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

I think I recognise the rock on the right from your previous photograph. The composition isn't incredibly, but works fine I think. It's beautiful to see some of the pebbles in the water.
My only point of critique could be (I haven't been there, it's just something in my mind) that a bit of a lower angle would put more focus on the curve the beach discribes. But again I haven't been on the location. You know it best.

yeah lower angles i always go for so was trying somthing a bit different with this one as I couldn't get the composition I wanted. I wanted to keep the right hand rocks and have them on the third, but i couldn't because immediatly behind me on my right was an enormous rock that just blocked too much of the frame. I didn't just want to have pebbles as the left side of the shore was so mind numbingly boring and messy with rocks so sort of went half and half.

nope. I only use ND and ND Grad filters. Never any other with the exception of the occasional poloriser.
I don't see the point in using colour filters when they can be applied digitall later on - its extra pieces of plastic / glass in front of the lens that can hinder image quality. I don't like modifying my colours very much either. I like things 'natural'

I agree with you, I just have ND filters and polarizers for my lens. The rest can be done digitally..
But I was just curious as I have seen many photographers use a magenta filter for sunsets.
Thanks for the reply!
