I sketched these a while ago. =] There will always be more to come! ^^Pen and ink in my drawing book.
*if I have drawn a picture of your rat please understand I am just trying to improve. I force myself to draw almost every rat picture I come across when I am sketching and I would like to share what I have created from your photos. thank you for loving rats too!

Thanks so much for your dedication and practice - such simple sketches and yet brilliantly accurate. I'm no good at drawing feet and paws, and often I find when looking at photographs I get distracted by the colours and shading rather than focusing on the actual shape. With all your wonderful sketches, I can look back and reference the simple shapes that make them up, and aim to actually include some detailed toes in whatever ratty drawing comes next!

Rats are so cute
I live near a big river and there is a bench near a nest.
From time to time you can see a coypu swim around there. Carring huge pieces of reed XD.
That's so cute.

This picture.. Such focused in precision in detail, it's quite amazing with the way how you almost draw it life-like. I have a friend that's starting to take a liking to rats, I want to draw her a adorable rat curling almost like a ball. This must be very fun to draw. With that artistic skill you have there, mang - You'll make the best of yourself. By the way, can I borrow your diagram of this?

Dsff- these are precious. Lookit those little feet!
Are there any tips you would be willing to provide for someone on the topic of drawing rats? I'm somewhat of an amateur but given I'm writing a story where ROUS are basically the main form of transport available... I'm going to need to pick up on it soon.

ah jeez, i feel very inadequate with words today.
i worry that i might have seemed a bit obnoxious. perhaps i should have asked for more understanding. when you ask for tips, what would you feel that i am able to do that would be a useful thing for you to know?

I absolutely love all of your drawings and sketches of rats. I often wish I could draw them, as I expect since I own such lovelies it should come naturally, however I know that without practice it's unlikely I'd be able to appreciate their likeness fully. I should take after you and make myself sit down and draw them every once in a while, from photographs as well rather than fidgety live subjects Thank you for sharing your work

i would love it if you did! i really like to see rats through the eyes of other artist. ^^
i feel like when ever i try to draw them from life my sketches end up more like impressions of movement rather then a rat drawing XD but from that i can build what i have learned from photos of rats to make a more complete drawing!

Nobody should be upset if you draw a sketch of their rat! I'd be flattered.
Is that just something you've put to avoid people getting upset or has someone actually bothered you about it? >:
Anyway, these are great. I love the bottom left one- I always crack up when BB stands up like that. He goes from pear shaped to slim, with a mysterious pot belly!
