Species: Lupine ○○ Feral people who may transform into massive beasts at any time. In the wild, they mostly stay in beast form, only using humanoid bodies to communicate more effectively and make tools for themselves.

Job: Casual blacksmith. He forges mostly weapons and certain battle plates, though it is more a hobby than income. Because he's only recently begun forging, his weapons are a little crude but gaining in quality slowly as he gets used to it. Ictinia, his close friend, charms the weapons he makes (for a hefty fee!).

Birthmark/Tattoos: The markings on his face and arms are a special warning marking that Ictinia placed on him. Through the tattoos he can 'feel' when her health is depleting or she is in trouble, which makes fighting generally safer for both of them.

Φ FIGHTING AND ABILITIES Φ

Style: On the defensive in beast form. Haliastor has forged himself large mythril claws, which have charms carved into them. They have very, very mild lifedrain qualities... not that it gets put to use much, considering his difficulty hitting lighter, faster foe. He has extremely good health and stamina, making long drawn out battles easy for him, but his speed is low and (again), he has accuracy issues. Haliastor's battle style is all about wearing an enemy down until they can no longer dodge him, then taking them out with one brutal strike. His attacks are far and in between, but usually strong if they hit.
Position in the Army: Front lines. He has a good movement range because... well, he's as big as a tiger when shifted into beast form, which means if stuck behind slower knights he won't be able to fight nearly as well. He can also be used as a mount in extreme situations, but be careful if you do decide you want to hop on for a ride-- he's not very forgiving about fur-pulling.
Weapon: Mythril forged claws, his natural fangs, and sometimes he can use his weight alone to crush smaller prey.
Stats: ( high HP, low speed, low evasion, high mobility, moderate skill, moderate defense, moderate attack, moderate luck, very low magic , low magic defense )
Battle Mindset: Mostly defensive minded, he means to shield long range attackers from as much harm as possible. Because of his bulk he can take a huge amount of damage with no real fear of consequence, but the damage he deals will be sparse.

Φ PERSONALITY TRAITS Φ
Personality: Haliastor is an individual with extreme loyalty. He will bow and be formal to his superiors and expect the same treatement from his inferiors. He has lived in earthra all his life, and though he doesn't aspire to some of his faction's ideals, he has still been trained to be loyal.
History: Born of a pack of lupine, Haliastor was born in the forests of Earthra, hidden in the wilds of Sa-Ahn. Here they thrived with large beasts of equal strength, living quietly. One day, a woman became lost in their great forest in search of herbs and food to smuggle back into Ares. Falling into Lupine territory, Haliastor aided her in finding her way back. As they walked, he listened to her tale and the plight of the Arean people under threat from Caelius. Not particularly moved, he told her to never return to the forest and to keep Ares and Caelius' petty war away from their lands. She gave him a warning before she left-- next time they met, it would surely be as enemies.

Soon enough, the lupine were forced into Earthra's war on Ares and Caelius, and Haliastor was split from his brethren and forced into troops of beings he did not know.

Eventually, Haliastor found himself on the battlefield, fighting to protect an Earthran border from an Ares attack. Mid battle, he saw her again-- the woman who's story had so touched him.

Now, he lives with that same woman (Ictinia), in Fallehnwood. Though she deserted the Ares army in order to pursue the peace they speak of for her kinsman, he still stays by her dutifully.

Φ EXTRA Φ

○ Haliastor and Ictinia are not romantically involved-- they live together as close friends and an almost sibling-like relationship. He is (probably) the only one in Earthra whom she talks too, after all.
○ The cuffs on his wrist don't have any function other than keeping his clothing and items when he is shifted-- that way when he shifts out of his beast form, he isn't naked.
○ He hunts and eats small animals, which means ... Earthran travelers aren't exactly safe either. You may want to keep small children away from him when he's hungry.
