Description
LMS Stanier 5XP "Jubilee" class 4-6-0 No. 5563 'Australia' stands with Stanier (formerly Fowler) 7P Rebuilt Royal Scot class 4-6-0 No. 6115 'Scots Guardsman' in steam while being readied for express work.Like many railway enthusiasts, I do own a fair amount of model trains, which I prefer to deal with British OO gauge and (in the near future) Australian HO scale as I just prefer to use 16.5mm track (doesn't help my first train set was Hornby). 'Australia' (the Jubilee, not the Commonwealth nation) is a 2007 model that uses the current tooling following the retirement of the Mainline Palitoy tooling dating from the 1979, while 'Scots Guardsman' is a 1979 Mainline Palitoy with some touch ups and a bit of repairs.
Currently, 'Australia' is the newest edition in my collection while I think I've had 'Scots Guardsman' for about five years since I bought it second-hand from a local hobby shop ('Australia' is also second-hand but bought on ebay). The only editing done to this photo is just the steam.
