Description
The GNR H1 class (nicknamed "Yankee Moguls") were a group of 20 2-6-0s built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in the United States in 1899/1900. They were built in a time when UK locomotive builders and railway workshops (including the GNR's own Doncaster Works) were at capacity and couldn't build anymore locomotives, resulting in the Great Northern Railway, Great Central Railway and Midland Railway ordering 2-6-0s from Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia and Schenectady Locomotive Works in New York in 1899/1900. Due to their American origins, the railway crews from all three railways nicknamed their US-built 2-6-0s "Yankee Moguls" ("Yankee" or simply "Yank" being a thing used by the British Commonwealth to describe anyone or anything American).

Like their Midland and Great Central counterparts, the GNR H1s were short-lived machines with the last one withdrawn and scrapped by 1909, with the MR being the last to dispose of theirs by 1915. None of the "Yankee Moguls" are preserved.

For this, I used a MR 2501 base due to how identical the 2501's were to the H1s, being that both are from Baldwin Locomotive Works and made around the same time. The tender was modified to resemble the type used by the H1s until their withdrawal in 1909.
