Ever since the 1960s following the forming of the Nerland Industrial Board (NIB) in 1964, a unique pannier tank originally built by Fox, Walker & Co. as an 0-4-0ST built in the 1870s has called Nerland home however, this 0-4-0PT has one of the foulest tones that the isle has ever seen and when he sees something that doesn't conform to what he refers to as "common sense" (for the Victorian period, at least), he's not afraid to lash out and speak his mind, given he works with the twin 0-6-0Ts No. 100 'Edinburgh' and 101 'Glasgow' (both based on the LBSCR E2 with some differences). Sadly, every Pride Month since 2005, he has been unapproving of the LGBTQ+ community and isn't afraid to use the word "queer" when referring to them. Given he was built in the 1870s, during the height of Queen Victoria's reign, anything related to LGBTQ+ was frowned upon by that era's society and was punishable in UK according to Section 11 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act of 1885 (which used the term "gross indecency"), which was abolished in 1967. Regardless, it appears that NIB No. 34 will never accept a member for the LGBTQ+ community for who they are.

For anyone who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I do apologise for the pannier's actions and if it makes you feel uncomfortable. While I was raised as a Christian (I attended a Anglican school between 2016-2021 but I'm actually Roman Catholic, just not the type that attends church because normally not bothered to), I have a few friends in a Discord server I'm in that are LGBTQ+ and I act civil around them, which I think I inherited that from one of my great grandmothers who passed away in February 2018 (who was always excited when Mardi Gras comes, which occurs before Pride Month). So, if you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I respect who you are as we're all human and we have the power to make our own future.
