Well, it's come to this -- what ever "this" is.

The complex engineering section with all of these parts with the warp core and warp power conduits despite being -- well -- complex and dense, is actually small in comparison with the rest of the Enterprise.  The airlock on this ship's deck 12 is easy to see how big the rest of the ship is as that's only 2.25m in diameter with someone who is only 6' is 1.83m tall.  Seeing how easily many of the recreation facilities can fit into this ship along with 430 people.  Not to mention support systems that ranges from life support, hydroponics, even water recycling:

It's also easy to see how Hyde-Kirk could hide in the lower decks on, "The Enemy Within," along with the engineering chase on Star Trek (2009).  As well as the space Scotty needed to fix the antimatter flow on, "That Which Survives," which the injector antimatter pod is also on deck 13 at the back of the lower neck.

I included the primary deuterium tanks as there are antimatter tanks and the deuterium tanks directly attached to the matter injector behind the one cryo-recirculation pump.  With all of those vents on the pylons, let's hope they have enough surface area to vent excess heat to extend the Enterprise's flight time.

I removed the SIF generators on here as I only needed them to ensure none of the parts got in the way of each other.

It's hard to believe that all that antimatter can last 3 years without refuelling.

Then again, look how small the Enterprise-D's warp core is in comparison to the rest of the ship, along with the size of the deuterium tanks and antimatter pods.

With the Enterprise's 2270's TMP upgrades from Constitution class to Enterprise class, how much of the cooling systems, thermoelectric generators, cryo-recirculation pumps, and everything else where the deuterium tanks are are located around the vertical intermix chamber and beneath the horizontal intermix chamber?  As in beyond the bulkheads of engineering, and under the hull curvature:

As you can see by the deuterium tanks on the lower right, there's the antimatter converter linked to the deflector dish's antiproton generator so the ship can replenish its antimatter fuel even in small amounts to maintain the canon that the Enterprise can regenerate its antimatter supply as on, "One Of Our Planets Is Missing."
