Yet another commission for the wonderful He wanted me to illustrate Ember as she would appear in his fanfiction, A Light in the Dark. 30 years into the future, she is fully grown and stepping into her role as a sage. Unlike her more canonical self, this version of Ember has a heritage more akin to Flame, hence the black scales on her body and red colorations.Like the last entry, this was supposed to just be a value drawing, but with all the color information he gave me for the two, I figured doing it in a monochrome would not do the characters justice. Color was needed.

Hmm. Pretty nice dragon anatomy. Even though I think paws which are closer to viewer seems abit bigger than usual, and wing abit broken. Maybe it's just me. Other parts are good.

Thanks! (late reply) Yeah, I've always had trouble with paws... I need to work on those. Wings are also difficult for me. I just can't seem to maintain a consistent form or line that goes on for an extended period, like a wing forearm. It looses its form and coherence after a while.

Don't worry. I'm too not great with perspective and anatomy size of different limbs. With practice we can make better too. I think this picture still looks amazing.
