The center figure is staring a hole into reality as it drifts through different worlds, galaxies and universes. However, the figure is not aware that it's doing so, thus carving gashes into the landscape of reality. It has been known to look up and stare at other figures, though the same thing occurs--they are 'stared through.'

The figure's headspace is in an entirely different place than reality, entirely disconnected from what is happening around it, channelling a much more favorable image, into its beam of destruction--it's grand vision that holds its attention. The trail of the beam is broken up and staggered, showing that it goes through lapses of time where it comes out of its headspace, though it inevitably returns there, as that is its natural state of being.
